Recently I had the pleasure of meeting and photographing Myrtle Beach Singer Songwriter Amanda Miele. She is such a sweet young lady who is very passionate about her music. She told me about living in Nashville for a while and the music scene there. Amanda also ranted about how great the local music scene here in the Myrtle Beach area is.

She can't wait to get back to performing at all her favorite local venues again soon!
I asked Amanda to share a little bit about her passion for music:
"Being able to entertain is one of my favorite parts of life. It’s when all of the hard work put in finally gets a place to shine. My name is Amanda Miele and I am a local musician in Myrtle Beach, SC. I moved here from Holmdel, NJ. I started my interest in music back in Jersey because I needed something to do since I was going to quit competitive gymnastics. Over the years I became very serious about pursuing music and after high school, moved to Nashville in 2016. I attended Lipscomb University for a year. While in Nashville I had many amazing experiences. I got to sing for Gretchen Wilson, won the audience vote in the Nashville Rising Song contest, co wrote some awesome songs and much more. At the end of the school year I decided to come back to Myrtle Beach because I didn’t think I chose the right college for me. Since being home I’ve really taken a deep dive into the music scene here! My good friend, the talented Brian Roessler was the one who really got me started in it. He would invite me to sing in writers rounds with him and other local musicians. From there I really gained my confidence and am now performing locally in a number of different venues including House of Blues Restaurant, Tin Roof, Atlas Tap House, Fiesta Mexicana and many more. I also have recently become a part of the band HOOTENANNY and I couldn’t be more excited. I am starting online college classes in June and will continue to play shows on the side. Although music is not my full time job I believe it is important to always do something that makes you happy and keeps you sane. Music does that for me."
