A Destination Beach Wedding in Pawleys Island, South Carolina and Why I love Wedding Photography
When two people decide to say "I Do," it's a pretty amazing thing. I mean you are choosing to spend THE REST OF YOUR LIFE with this person. To share EVERYTHING together. It's a HUGE thing! That is why as a Wedding photographer it's also a huge thing for me too. When a couple trusts me to share in, and capture their most epic day celebrating a lifetime commitment to one another, it's an honor for me.
After 15 years of photographing Weddings I admit that I still get those pre-shoot jitters going into a day of Wedding coverage. It's mostly excitement and anxiousness of wanting to do the best job for my couples. Once I hit the ground running those jitters leave me and passion takes over. The passion to creatively and technically capture the STORY of this seriously important day. I think a lot of wedding photographers would agree that there is a slight rush that comes from the build up and execution of photographing a wedding day. It never gets old. I simply love Weddings. From start to finish, all the smiles, the moments, the romance, the way it all comes together, all of it!
I wanted to share this intimate wedding I recently photographed at a beach house rental in historic Pawleys Island.
Jimberly and Matthew are from Kentucky but chose to have their destination wedding on the beautiful coast. They haven't been together too long but they just KNOW they are meant to be. I could sense all of the excitement, nerves, and love in the air. It was inspiring.
Being in a destination wedding market, sometimes you just do not get to have a in person meeting with a couple beforehand. That was the case with Jimberly and Matthew. I never met this couple before this day but yet I felt instant connection with them.
Shout out to the awesome Wedding planner who put it all together so smoothly, Jessie Johnson, of Willow Event Designs in Pawleys Island. We love working with her and her team!
